Our Story
Story HQ was born from a simple belief: strong communities need intentional spaces to gather, connect, and grow.
This mother daughter duo traces back to 2012, when Story Event Planning launched in Washington, DC, curating meaningful events that celebrated life’s milestones and supported small businesses. Over time, it became clear that our community needed more than one-off events—they needed a permanent home for collaboration, creativity, and connection.
Story HQ is the evolution of that vision.
Today, we are building a members-based event and co-working space designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and community-minded individuals—especially Black and minority-owned businesses. Story HQ blends high-quality design with accessibility, offering curated programming, flexible workspaces, and private member rentals in one welcoming environment.
Our commitment is to put DC first—by investing in local talent, working with District vendors, supporting youth workforce pathways, and keeping community resources circulating within Washington, DC.
